A Virtual MasterCard has become a popular means of exchanging credit and debit card information with others. There are also a growing trend of providing credit cards to employees and customers, rather than the more traditional card which are issued by a bank.
The Virtual MasterCard is issued on a point-to-point basis, meaning that all transactions are made from your point of account. This means that you are the only entity responsible for charges, and that there is no need to make a deposit to cover any outstanding balance. This also makes it much simpler to withdraw money from the card, although most transactions will incur an ATM fee.
The way Virtual MasterCard works is through the establishment of a merchant account. You are given a card with a small plastic logo imprinted on it, along with the necessary account details. All you need to do to purchase products using this card is to provide your address, your telephone number and an accurate card number to your credit or debit card provider. Your card details are then transferred into the account of your merchant bank.
If you like, you can use your card for all your shopping as usual. In many cases, your card details are not published to the public and your card is issued to you without any printed information about it.
When it comes to transferring money from the virtual MasterCard to a traditional bank account, you are normally expected to use the same terminal that provides your card. However, there is a range of different card processors that allow you to withdraw cash from your account, including some that do it online and others that require a PIN code.
It should be noted that unlike regular cards, Virtual MasterCard transactions cannot be reloaded in the same way. Instead, you are required to load your card with cash before you actually spend any money using the card.
The charges incurred by you when you use your card do not include any interest or other fees associated with a debit card, as these are charged when you first have your card registered. Although you cannot pay cash back, you can choose to transfer the balance amount to another VMC card if you wish.
As with all charge cards, the rate of interest charged is based on the issuing bank's prevailing market interest rate and the amount of money that you have on deposit. If your account is zero, then you are offered a discount of up to 60%. The Virtual MasterCard is generally not a good deal if you have a high balance, as the bank will not be offering you any incentive to transfer your balance. If you do not want to use your card then you can transfer the balance amount by sending a check.
It is important to remember that the VMC card is not a bank card and therefore cannot be used in the same way as one. It is a prepaid card that offers you a credit or debit card without any credit checks and can be used to make purchases in certain locations. You can also use the card to transfer funds between banks, and there are no checks associated with the VMC card.
