When the cashier takes your credit card away, it might have a little viral matter smearing all over it. There's also the ATM touch screen. ATM machines with pen and keypads. The receipt in the grocery store with the bill, and your pen they give you when you pick up the check. There's also the little black book inside the store with your receipts in it and your bill.
You will find that you can't go far without having your credit card in your pocket or purse. Even if you only use it once and then it goes into the trash. I remember when I was just a kid. I didn't really do much spending beyond a snack here and there. My card was so tiny, it took a long time to swipe it with one of those mechanical pens or swipe it on the terminal.
I used to go to the bank and get my account and my credit card every six months. They would send you an email with a new card. It was so frustrating. I had to get the money for the card right away. They would say it would be in your mailbox within a week or two. I don't know why they did this, but they were probably lazy and didn't want to make things so difficult for me.
I didn't even carry more than two cards. I didn't really need another credit card, as I had one for emergencies. I'm not talking about having a lot of credit cards, but keeping track of your balances. Your credit cards are like little black books that keep your expenses organized. When you need to pay down your debt, you can go to the card company and pay off one card with their payment scheme and start with the other. That way, you don't have to start all over again.
Cards can be expensive, especially when you use them in order to pay for something you don't really need to. I remember one company's card for their new satellite tv. that costs $50 dollars per month and they want you to pay for it in full.
Then you have to get a new card to pay for the same thing again. After awhile you can build up a credit that way too many credit cards. You can't just throw them away because you can't afford them. I had the most expensive one ever. I still have one card that I don't use that costs around $500. and I never use it. This is the card I use to pay for my groceries.
